Volume is the amount of space FILLED. Volume equals area of the base (B) times height (h). Area of the base equals length times width.

To find area, you need to identify the length, width, and height. Length times width gives you the area of the base! Area of the base times the height gives you the volume!
Finding Missing Dimensions
To find missing dimensions, first identify the pieces you do know. Write the volume formula. Plus the pieces into the formula. Ex: If you have the number for volume, plug it in for "V."
